Reverse description Denomination mark consisting of the letters 'I' and 'S' (indicating half Stuiver) struck within a plain central circle, itself enclosed by an ornate scrolled or lobe-patterned border running around the full circumference of the flan. An applied rectangular countermark depicting the Deventer municipal arms — a crowned lion — is visible at the upper field, authenticating the coin as official civic emergency issue. The reverse design is simple and functional, consistent with the exigencies of siege coinage production.
