The hair is elaborately depicted with bold, swirling волюты and lyre-shaped curls radiating dynamically across the field, a hallmark of Gaulish die engraving. Facial features are schematically rendered with a prominent eye and strong jawline. A dagger or leaf-shaped object appears in the lower field beneath the bust, serving as a secondary device. The overall composition reflects the progressive Celticization of the original Macedonian gold stater type. |
