Obverse description Jubilee effigy of Queen Victoria facing left, wearing an imperial crown with a long veil falling behind, the draped bust adorned with the Star of the Garter and the badge of the Imperial Order of the Crown of India. The peripheral legend reads VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, with the engraver's initials J.E.B. incuse below the truncation. The portrait was modelled by Joseph Edgar Boehm and represents the standard Jubilee head type introduced in 1887.
