| Beschrijving keerzijde | A quartered royal shield of arms, displaying the arms of France Ancient (fleurs-de-lis) and England (passant guardant lions) in the first and fourth quarters, and Ireland (a harp) in the third quarter, surmounted by an imperial Tudor crown. The shield is framed by an elaborate ornamental scroll or wreath of curling foliage, characteristic of the sovereign-type reverse design of the period. A mintmark appears above the crown at the top of the field. The reverse legend in Latin runs clockwise around the design within a beaded inner circle. |
