| Beschrijving voorzijde | Full-length enthroned effigy of King Frederik I in armor, seated frontally upon an elaborate throne flanked by great pillars, holding the globus cruciger in his right hand and a scepter in his left. The royal figure is contained within an inner beaded ring, beyond which a Latin legend encircles the design, the entire composition further bounded by a second beaded ring at the rim. The style is characteristic of early sixteenth-century Danish hammered coinage, with bold, somewhat archaic relief rendering of the royal regalia and throne architecture. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Frederik I struck this issue during a reign defined by his careful neutrality on the Reformation question — a calculated ambiguity that allowed Lutheran preaching to spread through Denmark while he placated Catholic nobles. The 1531 date places this coin in the final years of his rule, just two years before his death triggered the Count's War and a succession crisis that would reshape Scandinavian politics entirely.
Galster's UU#50 designation places it among the rarer documented types in the series. Surviving examples in any condition are infrequently encountered at auction.
