Obverse description Central field displays the crowned arms of Gorizia, comprising a quartered shield bearing a leaping eagle in the dexter half and horizontal bars in the sinister half, all surmounted by an imperial crown with cross finial. The shield is set within an elaborate baroque cartouche of scrolling foliage and acanthus ornaments that fill the field to the dentilated border. No peripheral legend is present; the design relies entirely on the heraldic device as the identifying element. The overall style is characteristic of late 18th-century Habsburg provincial coinage, with bold, high-relief decorative flourishes framing the armorial composition.
