附加信息

Peru's Sol de Oro system was established by the 1931 monetary reform that ousted the libra peruana, itself a casualty of the Great Depression's pressure on gold-linked currencies. The Banco Central de Reserva, founded that same year, oversaw this transitional coinage. The thirty-year span of this type — 1935 through 1965 — reflects remarkable institutional continuity through periods of considerable political turbulence, including multiple coups and the Odría dictatorship of the early 1950s.

Brass composition shifted across the series as wartime metal priorities and postwar commodity prices forced reformulations — hence the alloy notes.
