Additional information

Christian VI's reign was defined by Lutheran pietism pushed to legislative extremes — the Konventikkelplakat of 1741 banned unauthorized religious gatherings outright. Coin production during his later years reflected a kingdom managing significant debt accumulated through court expenditure that far outpaced state revenues. The Copenhagen mint was under recurring pressure to maintain small denomination copper for everyday commerce while the crown's finances remained strained.

KM#545 is among the final issues of his reign; Christian VI died in 1746.
