Reverse description The crowned coat of arms of the Dutch Confederation occupies the central field, displaying a rampant lion bearing a sword and bundle of arrows on a shield surmounted by a royal crown with elaborate acanthus-style ornamentation. The date is divided on either side of the shield in the field. The circumferential legend in Latin capitals reads CONCORDIA RES PARVÆ CRESCUNT, separated at the top by a small shield mintmark. The coin shown bears the date 1764.
