| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field dominated by a thin retrograde monogram of King Perctarit, composed of interlaced Latin letters forming the royal cipher. Two small dots flank the monogram symmetrically within the flat, irregular flan. The design is contained within a plain or slightly beaded border, characteristic of late Lombard hammered coinage. The lettering PE RX is arranged within the monogram, referencing the royal title. The overall execution is rough, consistent with the artisanal standards of early eighth-century Lombard silver. |
