| Reverse description | The reverse displays a monogram similar in style to the obverse, formed by the interlocking letters of the royal name and title, rendered in the thin linear manner typical of posthumous Perctarit issues. The field is flat and unadorned, with no exergue line or subsidiary marks visible. The border is plain, consistent with the hammered flan. The design reflects the degenerate but distinctive epigraphic tradition of Lombard post-regal coinage from the early eighth century. Overall striking is off-center and characteristic of irregular artisanal production. |
