The design is set within a plain circular border on an irregularly shaped flan. The execution is rough and summary, characteristic of hammered bracteate coinage of the Lombard Kingdom. Individual letter elements are difficult to distinguish due to the abstracted and intertwined rendering of the monogram. The field is otherwise plain with no exergue or additional ornamental devices. |
