| Obverse description | Central device features the quartered arms of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen, displaying a double-headed eagle on a shield surmounted by a princely crown. The shield is rendered in fine relief with decorative beaded borders framing the escutcheon. A continuous beaded border encircles the entire coin face. The circular legend around the periphery reads FÜRSTENTH. SCHWARZB. SOND., identifying the issuing principality. The overall design is crisp and consistent with mid-19th century German milled coinage. |
