Reverse description Hammered silver flan bearing the Shi'a shahada in multi-line Nasta'liq script, densely arranged across the coin's surface within an informal cartouche. The central field carries the Islamic declaration of faith: 'La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasul Allah' (There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God). The script is boldly rendered and characteristic of early Safavid religious coinage, with the flowing calligraphic strokes filling the irregular planchet. The field is plain beyond the principal legend, consistent with the austere aesthetic of Safavid fractional silver issues of this period.
