Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing a three-line Shi'a kalima inscription in thuluth script arranged across the field. The legend reads, in sequence: the shahada ('There is no god but God'), the profession of the Prophet ('Muhammad is the Messenger of God'), and the Shi'a formula ('Ali is the Friend of God'). The script is boldly cut but shows typical die-shift and weak strike in the upper register. The irregular flan edge is characteristic of early Safavid hammered coinage.

Reverse description Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in thuluth script occupying the central field. The inscription incorporates the word 'adl' (justice) together with the title 'Shah' and the AH regnal year 928, placed across two or three lines. The strike is moderately sharp at centre with characteristic weakness toward the margins, consistent with early Safavid hammered technique. The flan is irregular and shows areas of dark patination and surface corrosion.
