Reverse description A sixteen-petal chrysanthemum crest of the Imperial House of Japan is prominently displayed at the top, above a central sunburst radiating from the field and enclosed within a beaded circle. A paulownia (paulownia tomentoса) crest appears at the base of the central design, and the entire central device is framed by a wreath. The exchange rate inscription, indicating 200 coins to one yen, is rendered in Chinese characters arranged in two horizontal registers within the central field.
