Obverse description Bare bust of Vespasiano Gonzaga facing left, rendered in the Renaissance portrait style typical of Northern Italian coinage. The effigy displays the ruler's facial features in fine relief against a flat field. The circular legend surrounds the portrait and reads VESPA GON COL MAR ET C, an abbreviated titulature referencing his titles as Colonel, Marquis, and Count.
