Obverse description Allegorical standing figure of the Subalpine Gaul, helmeted and draped in classical attire, facing left and holding a fasces surmounted by a Phrygian liberty cap in her left hand. The background features a depiction of Monte Viso, the prominent Alpine peak symbolic of the Piedmontese territory. The figure is rendered in a neoclassical style consistent with French Revolutionary iconography. The peripheral legend reads LIBERTÀ • VIRTÚ • EGUAGLIANZA • encircling the design, separated by bullet stops. The coin's field is smooth, with fine engraving attributed to Amedeo Lavy.
