Obverse description Full-length frontal figure of St. Blaise (Sveti Vlaho), patron saint of Ragusa, depicted in episcopal vestments with mitre, raising his right hand in benediction and holding a model of the city in his left hand, all within a beaded inner circle. The date is divided to either side of the saint's figure, with the initials S and B flanking him in the field. A Latin circular legend reading PROTECTOR REIPVBLICE RHAGVSINE runs around the periphery, separated by pellets. The overall style is characteristic of late Baroque Ragusan civic coinage.
