Obverse description The national emblem of Muscat and Oman occupies the central field, depicting a khanjar (traditional curved dagger) in its sheath superimposed upon two crossed swords, all rendered in fine relief. The emblem is flanked by the curved Arabic legend reading 'Said bin Taimur Sultan of Muscat and Oman,' arching along the upper periphery. The design is contained within a beaded border running along the coin's rim.
