Additional information

Bundi's coinage under Raghubir Singhji (r. 1889–1927) presents one of the more administratively peculiar cases in the princely states system. The Raj permitted many states to continue issuing their own silver on traditional weight standards well after the rupee had been centralized elsewhere, and Bundi was among those retaining this privilege into the 1890s. The half rupee at 5.6g aligns with the older Mughal-derived weight system rather than the reformed British-Indian standard.

Bundi state issues of this period are notoriously irregular in die quality and planchet preparation, a product of local minting infrastructure rather than any policy decision.
