Reverse description The reverse is divided by a horizontal line into two registers. The upper register features a crescent moon with a cluster of pellets arranged within and around it, along with additional pellet ornaments in the field. The lower register displays the distinctive Indore sun symbol — a rayed solar disc with a face, rendered in relief — accompanied by a poppy plant motif to the right and scattered pellet and lozenge ornaments in the surrounding field. The overall design is characteristic of Holkar-dynasty Indore coinage struck in the name of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II.
