| Beschrijving keerzijde | Octagonal reverse with a three-line inscription in Assamese script occupying the central field, mirroring the layout of the obverse. The bold characters are deeply struck in the hammered tradition of the Ahom kingdom. A continuous border of small pellets encircles the inscription along the octagonal inner edge, providing a decorative frame consistent with Ahom numismatic convention. The flat field bears no additional ornament beyond the inscribed legend. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Rudra Singha, the Ahom king who ruled from 1696 to 1714, was among the most militarily aggressive of his dynasty, repelling Mughal incursions while simultaneously expanding southward into the Jaintia Hills. His coinage reforms introduced a more standardized silver currency into a kingdom that had long relied on barter and rice-based exchange in its interior regions. The Ahom mint at this period operated under royal patronage directly tied to war spoils and tribute.
KM#38 is among the scarcer denominations from his reign, with surviving examples typically showing uneven flan preparation characteristic of Ahom striking methods.
