The placement of the four date numerals varies considerably across die varieties, appearing entirely to the left of ر in 'zarb', or split two-and-two on either side. The border treatment mirrors the obverse, consisting of inner double thin lines and an outer decorative motif of half-circles, reeds, or crosses, though frequently only partially visible on off-center strikes.
