| Obverse description | Central field displays Arabic script legends arranged in multiple horizontal lines, typical of VOC-era Javanese coinage. A rectangular countermark bearing the initials 'L N' and the Christian era date '1809' is applied diagonally over the existing Arabic inscription. Below the main legend, the AH date '1802' appears in Western numerals accompanied by the mint letter 'Z', all framed within ornamental scrollwork borders at the lower periphery. The serrated edge is clearly visible around the coin's circumference. The overall design reflects the transitional administrative period under King Louis Napoleon of Holland. |

| Reverse description | The reverse displays multiple lines of Arabic script in a flowing Naskh or Javanese-influenced style, filling the central field without a central device. The inscription, consistent with standard Batavian rupee coinage of the period, is arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. Decorative foliate or scroll motifs appear at the lower margin, framing the legend. The coin's fractured and holed condition is evident but does not obscure the principal inscriptions. The serrated milled edge is present around the entire circumference. |
