| Obverse description | Left-facing bust of the Guangxu Emperor depicted in the Tibetan-influenced style, wearing an elaborate imperial court hat adorned with a jewelled finial and dressed in richly embroidered ceremonial robes. The emperor's characteristic queue braid falls over the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail on the garments and headwear. A beaded inner border frames the effigy, with a dentilated outer border running along the coin's rim. |
