背面描述 Reverse field features dense calligraphic inscription in Persian-influenced Nagari script, rendered in bold sweeping strokes across the irregular hammered flan. The legend bands, struck in characteristic high relief, fill the majority of the coin's surface in the manner of late Mughal-derived princely state coinage. Floral and scrollwork decorative motifs occupy the interstices between the inscription bands, lending the reverse an ornate appearance consistent with Kishangarh mint practice. The flan shows typical irregularities of hand-struck coinage, with slightly raised rims varying in width around the periphery.

附加信息

Kishangarh's adoption of the regal portrait style — placing the British sovereign's effigy on a princely state's coinage — reflected the tightening grip of the Raj's currency standardization policies in the interwar period. Many smaller princely states were effectively pressured into aligning their issues with imperial designs as a condition of continued minting rights. Yagya Narayan Singh ruled Kishangarh from 1926 until 1947, and this half rupee spans roughly the first half of his reign.
