| 背面描述 | Octagonal flan with a beaded border along all eight sides. The field contains a multi-line inscription in Assamese script occupying the full width of the coin, with the regnal year prominently rendered at the top and additional royal titulature below. The deeply incised characters follow the standard Ahom numismatic convention of recording the Saka era regnal year on the reverse. |

Gaurinath Singha ruled Ahom during one of its most precarious periods — the kingdom was being torn apart by repeated Moamoria rebellions, peasant-based uprisings that had already deposed and restored the throne multiple times before his reign began. He ultimately appealed to the British East India Company for military assistance in 1792, making him the first Ahom king to formally invite Company troops into the kingdom. That decision effectively ended Ahom independence; the dynasty collapsed within three decades, annexed by the British in 1826 under the Treaty of Yandaboo.
