| 背面描述 | Central motif features an eight-pointed star enclosing a stylized mosque flanked by crossed swords, symbolizing Islamic faith and royal authority. An Arabic inscription appears above the central star device. The entire composition is framed by a wreath of branches tied at the base, consistent with the decorative style of early Amanullah-era coinage. |

Amanullah Khan declared Afghan independence from British control in 1919, and the Third Anglo-Afghan War that followed lasted less than a month before Britain conceded suzerainty over Afghan foreign affairs. This coin was struck almost simultaneously with that declaration, making early issues from 1919 direct products of a government asserting its autonomous monetary authority for the first time in the modern sense. The Kabul mint's output during this transitional period was inconsistent, and weight tolerances on early Amanullah issues are notoriously variable.
