| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh-derived script arranged across the field in three horizontal registers. The inscription reads 'Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Alamgir', invoking the regnal titles of the Mughal emperor Alamgir II. The lettering is bold and densely composed, characteristic of mid-18th century Arcot hammered coinage. No figurative devices are present; the design is entirely epigraphic. The coin's irregular flan edge is typical of the hammered production technique of the Arkat mint. |
