Obverse description Right-facing truncated effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in fine relief. The sovereign's portrait is shown in a refined, dignified style consistent with the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy used on Commonwealth coinage of this period. The legend 'ELIZABETH II GIBRALTAR' arcs around the upper periphery, with the date '2003' and the engraver's initials 'IRB' completing the inscription below.
