(Translation: New gold coin of the County of Zeeland)
Reverse description A large floriated rose of eight petals occupies the center of the reverse, formed by an intricate arrangement of heraldic shields set within a cusped tressure of arched compartments; a crowned lion is positioned at the apex of the central motif. Small fleurs-de-lis and crowned shields alternate within the petals, reflecting the Zeeland provincial arms. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The circumferential Latin legend, referencing Romans 8:31, runs around the outer border and is punctuated by stops and the Middelburg mint mark (rook/castle symbol).
