Obverse description Full-length facing effigy of Queen Kristina, robed in elaborate royal dress with ruffled collar and ornate bodice, standing erect within a beaded inner circle. The queen holds a sceptre in her right hand and an orb in her left, with a small crowned shield or heraldic device visible at lower left of the figure. The portrait is rendered in the baroque style typical of Swedish hammered coinage of the mid-seventeenth century. The Latin legend runs around the periphery within a dotted border.
