Obverse description Central Burgundian cross with integrated firesteels (fusils) at each arm, the jewel of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended below the cross at the base. The date is divided by the lower arms of the cross, with '15' to the left and '84' to the right. The circumferential legend in Latin runs around the periphery within a beaded border, identifying the piece as struck under the monetary ordinance of Philip of Burgundy for the Duchy of Guelders.
