| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, wearing a traditional Omani turban, set within a circular field. A continuous Arabic legend arcs around the upper periphery reading his full royal title, with the lower legend completing the inscription 'Sultan of Oman'.
