| Obverse description | Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the central field, each head facing outward to opposite sides, with wings spread and detailed feather work. A heraldic shield on the eagle's breast bears a rampant lion, the arms of the Lordship of Jever. The eagle's right talon grasps a sceptre and the left a globus cruciger. The circular Latin legend SUB·UMBRA·ALARUM·TUARUM· (meaning 'Under the shadow of Thy wings') runs along the outer border, with the coin's milled edge visible at the rim. |
