| Obverse description | Central device depicting a pomegranate in full round form with a partially opened crown revealing seeds, set upon a spray of five radiating leaves, all enclosed within a fine inner circle. The denomination 1/2 is inscribed to the left of the pomegranate and R to the right, with a raised dot following. The circular legend CUNDINAMARCA reads around the upper periphery, while the mint mark BA and assayer initials J·F appear in the lower field, separated by dots. The entire design is bordered by a toothed or reeded rim. |
