| Obverse description | The note is headed by the bank title EL BANCO SOLANAS & Cía. in large lettering across the upper portion, flanked on each side by a circular guilloche medallion bearing the fraction 1/2 REAL. A central oval vignette contains a portrait, framed by ornamental scrollwork. The lower section carries the promise-to-pay text in Spanish, the place and date of issue (Gualeguay, 1 de Agosto de 1874), and a bottom border with the printer's imprint attributed to Guillermo Kraft, Buenos Aires. |
