| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the Gothic monogram IHS (Iesus Hominum Salvator) in large raised letters, flanked by decorative flourishes and set within a beaded inner circle. Above the monogram, a small ornamental device is visible in the upper field. The surrounding legend, rendered in Gothic script, reads + ADIVTORIVN NOSTRVM IhnS, with the Évora mint mark closing the inscription. The overall design is characteristic of late 14th-century Portuguese hammered billon coinage, with bold central lettering typical of the reign of João I. |
