| 背面描述 | Central field features a lion passant in crude hammered relief, a device derived from the royal arms of Castile and León, adapted for insurgent coinage purposes. The lion is depicted in a rough, somewhat stylized manner consistent with the primitive engraving tools and techniques available to the Oaxacan insurgents. The encircling legend AMERICA MORELOS, a tribute to the insurgent leader José María Morelos, runs along the upper periphery in Latin script. The date 1813 appears in the lower field beneath the central device, flanked by dots used as separators. The reverse, like the obverse, displays an irregular border and uneven flan surface reflective of emergency wartime production. |
