| Obverse description | Crowned bust of Ferdinand II facing right, rendered in a stylized late-medieval manner typical of Aragonese coinage of the early sixteenth century. The effigy is set within a plain inner circle, with the royal crown prominently displayed above the head. The surrounding circular legend reads in Latin capitals: + FERDINANDVS · R · ARAGO3, where the numeral 3 serves as a tachygraphic abbreviation for the suffix -nis.
