Obverse description Central field dominated by a large Gothic crowned monogram comprising the interlaced letters 'h' and 'E' (for Henricus/Enrique), surmounted by an elaborate Gothic crown with fleur-de-lis finials and trefoil arches rendered in high relief. The monogram is set within a floriate surround of scrolling Gothic foliage. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, partially visible due to the irregular flan typical of hammered coinage of this period.
