| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large Gothic crowned letter 'E' (for Enrique/Henry IV), the crown rendered in high relief with elaborate fleur-de-lis and cross finials. The royal monogram is set within an oval or lozenge-shaped cartouche, enclosed by a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend, partially visible on the irregular flan, reads the Laudes Regiae acclamation in Latin. The overall style is characteristic of late-medieval Castilian hammered coinage, with bold, deeply struck lettering around the periphery. |

| Reverse description | Quartered shield of Castile and Leon at centre, displaying alternating castles (for Castile) and rampant lions (for Leon) within the four quarters, struck in the bold, angular style typical of Enrique IV hammered coinage. A plain cross divides the quarters, with the shield surrounded by a beaded inner circle. The peripheral legend in Gothic Latin letters names the king and his royal title. The mint mark 'S' for Segovia is visible in the field. The flan is irregular, as is standard for mid-15th-century Castilian hand-struck silver. |
