Obverse description Bare-headed draped bust of King Carlos III facing right, rendered in low relief within a beaded border. The royal effigy occupies the central field, with the king's features depicted in a simplified provincial style characteristic of colonial proclamation coinage. The encircling Latin legend reads CAROLUS III D G HISPAN ET IND REX, separated by dots, identifying the monarch as King of Spain and the Indies. A suspension hole is visible at the top of the coin, indicating later use as a pendant or keepsake. The overall execution reflects the modest engraving resources available to the Guatemala mint for this commemorative issue.
