| Reverse description | A Jerusalem Cross (cross of Burgundy type) occupies the central field, with the quartered arms of Castile and León — alternating castles and rampant lions — displayed in the four quarters. The design is struck in the rough, irregular cob style characteristic of colonial Spanish-American hammered coinage. The devices are bold but unevenly distributed across the flan due to the nature of macuquina production. Partial border dots are visible along portions of the edge. |
