| Obverse description | Central field features the Guatemalan coat of arms, depicting a quetzal bird perched atop a scroll inscribed with the independence date legend, flanked by two crossed rifles and two crossed swords, all within a wreath of laurel branches. The mint year 1893 appears in the exergue below the shield, while the independence date 1821 is inscribed on the scroll within the arms. The design is enclosed by a beaded border running along the full circumference of the coin. |
