Reverse description Central field displays an upright stylised tree or shrub with broad, boldly rendered foliage rising from a curved mound, enclosed within a plain raised inner circle. The denomination 1/2 R appears to the lower left and right of the central motif within the inner circle. The peripheral legend, reading 10 D 20 G at the top and M.M. 1842 at the bottom, records the fineness (10 dineros 20 granos, equivalent to approximately 0.903 fine silver), the mint master initials M.M. (Miguel Mora), and the date. A beaded border frames the entire reverse. Note: the example illustrated bears a small suspension hole above the centre.
