Reverse description Bold cross dividing the field into four quarters, with a castle in the upper-left and lower-right quarters and a rampant lion in the upper-right and lower-left quarters, following the traditional Castile-and-León heraldic arrangement derived from Spanish colonial coinage. The strike is irregular and the details weakly defined, as expected of a primitive hammered cob issue. Pellet or bead ornaments are visible around the periphery of the flan.
