| Reverse description | The central field displays the bold denomination fraction 1/2 PIASTRE, with the two-line legend REPUBLIQUE SYRIENNE arcing across the upper field. A symmetrical wreath of wheat ears frames the central device on both sides, tied at the base with a ribbon, beneath which the date 1935 is inscribed. The overall design is clean and monumental in the French republican tradition, engraved by Lucien Georges Bazor of the Monnaie de Paris. A beaded border encircles the entire reverse composition. |
