| Opis awersu | Central field dominated by a large Ottoman-style tughra (royal cipher) of Abd al-Aziz ibn Saud, rendered in flowing Arabic calligraphy. The inscription 'Al-Faisal al-Saud' appears to the right of the tughra within the field. The Hijri date 1343 is inscribed in Arabic numerals along the lower portion of the field, beneath the tughra. The design fills the coin face in the traditional Islamic calligraphic manner, with no portrait or figurative imagery. A plain raised rim encircles the entire composition. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse bears three horizontal lines of bold Arabic calligraphic inscription filling the entire field, arranged in a stacked format typical of early Saudi coinage. The legends read, from top to bottom: the mint name indicating Mecca (Umm al-Qura), the denomination 'half qirsh', and the issuing authority. The inscription 'ضرب في أم القرة نصف قرش' (Struck in Mecca, Half Qirsh) is presented in a flowing Naskh or Thuluth script. The field is otherwise unadorned, with a plain raised rim. No figurative devices or decorative borders appear. |
